A D.C. State of Mind

Recommended for : Party Food & Drink
1
Head to Dupont Circle, which is party central. Drop your bags at Hotel Rouge, a sleek, gay-friendly hotel that keeps you close to the action.
2
Go straight to disco brunch at Level One, the restaurant under hot spot Cobalt. With $13 bottomless bloodies or mimosas you'll be in a DC state of mind in no time.
3
If you're here in June, and you should be, Capital Pride will be in full swing. The main parade starts in Dupont, so make your way to the Dupont Circle roundabout to snag the perfect people-watching spot. Get a bench if you can!
4
Fifteen minutes east on P Street will bring you to Logan Circle, the other gay hub in DC. Go to Le Diplomate for an absinthe cocktail and be sure to sit outside, the crowd walking by will be young and attractive. If you're hungry order the steak frites. If you feel like more walking there's plenty of window shopping to do on 14th.
5
Back to Cobalt for happy hour. The cover is $10, but it's the perfect spot to start off the night; the cocktails are well-made, the bartenders are gorgeous, and the music is loud.
6
After midnight it's time for Town Danceboutique. You'll need to take a cab because the neighborhood can be iffy at night. Check the website, the club always hosting special events, but any Friday or Saturday will have multiple floors of top DJs and go-go boys.
7
Cab it back to Dupont and end up at Annie's Paramount Steakhouse - open 24 hours on the weekends, so no matter what time the party ends you can rehash the night here before you sleep it off at the hotel.
