Georgetown Waterfront Park is a ten-acre greenway on the banks of the Potomac River. A beautiful spot with paths, a main promenade, ice cream vendors, and room to fly a kite or have a picnic, it's popular with both tourists and locals. There's a series of steps that lead right down to the water, and a fountain for kids to splash in on hot days; in the winter you'll also find a skating rink. Views of Key Bridge, Rosslyn, and the Kennedy Center make it a great spot for photographs. Open year round.
