The White House, at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, is perhaps the most well-known address in America. Initially called the Executive Mansion, it has been updated many times over the years, and underwent a vast interior design revamp under First Lady Jackie Kennedy. It takes some planning to arrange tickets for the guided tour, which requires US citizens to sign up a month in advance through their congressional representative (foreigners may contact their embassy) but the chance to see the inside of this historical home is well worth it.
