Christopher Street Day Cologne

The most important event in the gay and lesbian calendar is the Christopher Street Day (CSD). Every year on the first weekend of July half a million participants and visitors celebrate and demonstrate in the city centre. Together, on the 3rd July at the CSD Parade they will demonstrate that lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transsexuals will be equally treated legally and socially accepted. The street festival in the Cologne Old Town and the AIDS-Gala of the AIDS-Hilfe Cologne are, as well as the parade, an inherent part of the CSD weekend. A colourful stage programme, numerous information-stands and various political events await you.
