The only event able to close Oxford and Regent streets to traffic is the Pride in London, gathering the LGBTQ community from London and beyond since 1972. Even though the festivities are spread out across the city with events at the White Hall, Baker Street, Piccadilly Circus and a massive stage in Trafalgar Square, the most popular party happens in Soho Square, one block from the busy shopping streets.
