798 Art Zone is a Soho-like neighborhood of galleries, art centers, artists' studios, boutiques, design companies, loft apartments, restaurants and bars created in 2002 in a former factory district in northeast Beijing. The name comes from Factory 798 that once produced electronics. It holds art festivals each spring and fall and has been the venue of the Beijing Queer Film Festival.
