Cavo Doro is a charming little restaurant in the small fishing village of Sigri, about an hour north of Skala Eressos. Sigri is worth the day trip, and Cavo Doro is the perfect place to catch the sun setting over the harbor while you feast on that day's catch. Your best bet is to order the pikilia, a large seafood platter that can comfortably serve two to four people, depending on appetites. If you fancy some grilled octopus, you can choose your own from where they hang to dry on a clothesline. The lakerda, or marinated tuna, is excellent here, as are the seafood pastas and risottos.
