Formerly the Diversity Parade, the LGBT Pride Parade has been sponsored by the Santa Catarina Association of LGBT Entrepreneurs since 2008. The Sunday afternoon march is followed by music and dance parties at bars like 1007 Boîte Chik and a closing show with DJs. Trio Elétricos - hi-amp floats carrying performing musicians - circulate in the streets. The parade draws such a crowd that people are encouraged to take a bus rather than drive.
