The 300-room Hollywood Roosevelt, built in 1922 in Spanish Colonial Revival style, has the Hollywood Walk of Fame right out the front door. Its own claim to fame is as the site of the first Academy Awards in 1922. Today, after a $25 million renovation, it boasts luxurious touches like Egyptian cotton linens, an Olympic-size outdoor heated pool, vintage bowling lanes, four restaurants and five bars. In the summer, there's live music around the pool on weekends and a Tuesday night pool party that goes until 2 am.
