Formerly Gauman's Chinese Theatre, built to resemble a giant red pagoda, the TCL Chinese Theatre is the largest IMAX movie theater in the world. It opened in 1927 with the premiere of Cecil B. DeMille's "The King of Kings" and in 1977 kicked off "Star Wars." On the Hollywood Walk of Fame, it has celebrity handprints, footprints and autographs in its concrete forecourt.
