Las Lajas Sanctuary is a visually stunning basilica church built in the Gothic Revival style inside the canyon of the Guaitara River in southern Colombia. Although the current cathedral was built between 1916 and 1949, the Las Lajas shrine has been a pilgrimage site since the 18th century. The structure rises up 100-meters (330-feet) over the river below and is connected to the opposite side of the gorge by a 50-meter (160-foot) tall bridge.
