Elia Beach

Mykonos, Greece

Gay men converge on Elia Beach, six miles (10 km) south of Mykonos Town and one of the island's largest beaches. Waterfront bars, sun loungers and concessions abound. Look for the rainbow flag, and beyond is a sandy cover where nudism prevails. Come happy hour, cruising picks up in the rocky area beyond the beach.

Brighton Naturist Beach (Black Rock)

Marina Village, Brighton, England

Behind tall banks of pebbles on the far east of Brighton is the Black Rock naturist beach. Created in 1980, it was the first of its kind in the UK and today is very popular with the LGBTQ. Right behind it and across the road is a park where the boys go cruising. Accessible by regular bus services, the Marina station of Volk's electric railway (the last stop) and by car with plenty of parking. Very close to the Marina Village complex, located just beyond the high walls only two minutes along the coast.

Wreck Beach

University, Vancouver, Canada

Wreck Beach is both one of the largest and most relaxed beaches in Vancouver. Stretching along the coast of Point Grey, it has marvelous views and is guaranteed to draw crowds. Sections of the beach are clothing optional, but it is 5 miles (8 km) long, so there's plenty of room for all levels of nudity. The gay section here is located to the left as you enter from the stairs. Visitors should be aware that these stairs are steep and can be difficult to climb.

Baker Beach

Presidio, San Francisco, United States

Spread out on the southwest corner of the sunny Presidio, the mile-long Baker Beach is known for its fantastic views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the Marin headlands. The northern end of the beach tends to be the cruisy section, and also where the nude bathers camp out; on warmer days it will be crowded with sun worshipers. Hikers can pick up the Coastal Trail on the cliffside, and those who are eagle-eyed should be able to spot porpoises frolicking in the surf. Be aware that the water is cold and currents can be unpredictable, so young children should avoid swimming.
