Absa Cape Epic, a rugged mountain bike stage race covering 435 miles (c 700 k) in eight days, attracts elite international riders competing in teams of two. Considered the Tour de France of mountain biking, it varies its challenging route annually, passing through mountains, plains, ravines, seashore, forest and vineyards. The race maintains 24-hour full service facilities and stages entertainment each evening.
