A week of gay Pride events in August - mostly taking place in the area around Frederiksholms Kanal - brings the city together in a colorful display of unity and joy. The festivities culminate in a large and well-organized Saturday Pride Parade, which makes its way through the center of town and ends in a raucous free festival.
