The family-run La Habichuela has been serving Caribbean-Mexican fusion cuisine since 1977. Its most famous dish is Cocobichuela, chunks of lobster and shrimp in a curry sauce served in a coconut shell with rice and garnished with tropical fruits, but the menu also includes steaks, pasta and Tex-Mex. It features romantic garden dining and a copious breadbasket. Its sister restaurant La Habichuela Sunset in the Hotel Zone has a Mayan theme and sunset views over a lagoon.
