Pride & Events

Atlanta has notable events all year round, and for the LGBT crowd, there's even the opportunity to celebrate Pride twice (much like a child of divorced parents gets two Christmases): first Atlanta Black Pride in September and then the more general Pride celebration in October. Both take place mostly in Piedmont Park in Midtown, which is a good location to keep an eye on for events all year round. A great opportunity to learn a good deal about the city's landscape, its accomplishments and its continued struggles, is the Living Walls Conference, hosted every year in August.
