The week-long Camp Lightbulb was launched in Provincetown in 2012 to provide a welcoming haven for LGBTQ youth who may not otherwise have access to the summer camp experience. Around half of the campers receive full or partial scholarship, and the program is affiliated with a number of New York associations devoted to homeless LGBTQ youth. Campers stay overnight at the Truro Hostel, and spend their days in any number of arts-, community-, and sports-minded activities.
