Mission Bay Park with over 4,600 acres (almost 19,000 ha) - half water, half land - is the world's largest aquatic park of its kind. Dog-friendly, it has 27 miles (43 km) of shoreline and 19 sandy beaches. Millions visit each year to swim, windsurf, sail, boat, water ski, bike, walk, picnic or play volleyball and basketball.
