Vancouver Pride Parade

Vancouver's Pride Parade - run by the well-respected Vancouver Pride Society - draws crowds of over 650,000, making it the largest parade in Western Canada. All the best Pride accoutrements are on display, including colorful floats, stages with live music, drag shows and stalls selling food and memorabilia. Local businesses roll out the rainbow carpet as well, as hotels and restaurants fill with revelers for the week preceding the Parade itself. Several high-profile events, including the Sunset Beach Festival, Davie Street Dance Party, East Side Pride and Terry Wallace Memorial Breakfast keep the calendar chock-full of chances to mingle with the community.
