Born during the 2010 World Cup tournament, the Cape Town Carnival takes over Greenpoint Fan Walk as several thousand costumed performers and musicians put on a show with floats and dance routines, culminating with fireworks. The street party that follows features top South Africian musicians and DJs and goes late. Bring your dancing shoes.
