Originally built as Hoppe distillery in 1780, time appears to have stood still with the lasting old oak casks, vintage brass furnishings and gleaming chandeliers. Popular with the locals, it also attracts many travellers wanting to soak up a bit of the old-Dutch atmosphere. Arrive early as in the summer the seats by the pretty canal outside are very highly disputed.
