A large granite triangle bordered in pink, commemorating LGBTQ victims of persecution throughout history, was erected next to the Catalonian Parliament in 2011. It was in Ciutadella Park in 1991 that skinheads beat to death a transexual. Previously a bandstand in the park was re-named in honor of the victim.
