At the foot of Montjuïc Hill, Plaça d'Espanya (Plaza de España) is a busy square and transportation hub. Completed in time for the 1929 World Exhibit, it continues to draw visitors to the Fira de Barcelona trade exhibition center, the Parc de Joan Miró and the old city bullring now converted into a shopping mall. The famous Magic Fountain light show is between the square and the imposing Palau Nacional (National Palace), which houses the National Art Museum of Catalonia.
