The Feast of Saint Corpus Christi is celebrated each spring by covering the streets with carpets of fresh flower petals, prizes given for the best. Afterwards, the Holly Sacrament possession passes over the fragrant carpets. Awards are also presented for the best decorated balconies and facades. Related activities include the National Carnation Exhibit, the Bonsai Exhibit and parades of folkloric giants.
