Chicago throws great parties and plays host to millions of visitors every year. Music fans have been heading to Grant Park for Lollapalooza every August for over ten years to experience 130 bands on eight stages. The Chicago Chinese New Year Parade at the end of January lights up the city's wintery streets with traditional lion dancers, elaborate floats, martial arts teams, dragon dances, and a marching band. By mid-March nearly half a million visitors descend on the city for Chicago's St. Patrick's Day Parade to celebrate Irish culture and to see the Chicago River dyed green for the occasion. And of course, our favorite, the Chicago Gay Pride Parade has been rocking the Windy City for over 40 years with more than 250 glittery floats and mulitple days of LGBTQ revelry.
