Zak the Baker Deli - or 405 Deli - is a glatt-certified kosher deli that grew out of Zak's bakery, which moved up the block to a brightly colored building dubbed 295 Bakery. Closed Saturdays for the Sabbath, it serves traditional favorites like corned beef, smoked fish salad, gravlax sandwiches, mushroom barley soup and potato latkes with house-pickled cucumbers. The bakery, which wholesales to Whole Foods Market in South Florida, is also closed on Saturday. Its coffee house is certified by Dade Kosher.
