In 2004, La Petite Grocery moved into a historic building on the corner of Magazine and General Pershing that once housed the Central Tea, Coffee and Butter Depot, followed by Von der Haar's Fine Foods and Irwin's Flowers. The current incarnation, led by James Beard Award-winning chef Justin Devillier, preserves the nostalgia of old New Orleans and serves a menu of classic and innovative Louisiana fare including favorites like the blue crab beignets, ricotta dumplings, turtle bolognese, panéed rabbit and braised lamb shank. Sunday brunch from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm.
