Luna Park in Coney Island is home to one of the oldest rollercoasters in America: The Cyclone.  This world-famous wooden thrill ride first opened in 1927, and kids 54-inches and above can experience the same heart-stopping adventure.  There are a variety of other rides geared towards children nearby, including Ferris wheels and circus sideshows.  Admission is free and prices vary per ride; The Cyclone is 9USD.
