Shared-plates Wildair, run by young chefs Jeremiah Stone and Fabian von Hauske who have the tasting room Contra a few doors down, is a small wine bar reputed to serve some of the best bar food in NYC along with about 50 natural wines, cocktails and artisanal liqueurs. Its steak tartare and pork rillettes are particularly renown. Walk-in only, so get there early, or be prepared to wait for an hour or so to find out what the buzz is all about.
