Fans of alternative theater will not want to miss the Afterglow Festival, Provincetown's week-long celebration of this avant-garde art form. For six nights after the close of the summer season on Labor Day, artists from all over the United States gather to stage intimate viewings of their work at the Crown & Anchor complex on Commercial Street. The downtown sensibility of New York's Greenwich Village is particularly well-represented, with cabaret artists, musicians, and narrative theater performers bringing their latest work to the seaside. The GLOW all-access pass is priced at $420, but tickets for individual events can also be purchased for around $30 each.
