The long-running Provincetown International Film Festival has evolved into one of the finest in the country, with a wide variety of submissions including narrative and animated features, documentaries and short films. Subject matter tends to be diverse - with an emphasis on counter-culture and marginalized communities - and the Festival's Film Society provides year-round support to emerging artists. In 2015, the festival raised more than $600,000 in contributions.
