Spread over eight blocks in the Mission, Carnaval San Francisco is an annual two-day street fair with killer music--think Afro-Cuban, reggae, funk, and jazz--food, dance, and crafts. The Grand Parade has lots of sequins and feathers to spare, and the festival is free, though donations are accepted.
