Home to the San Francisco Ballet as well as the San Francisco Opera, the War Memorial Opera House is an imposing 3,146-seat Beaux-Arts theater in the Civic Center. Seats are comfortable--almost all have adequate views of the stage, even those in the upper balcony--and the staff is graceful and attentive, giving an evening here a welcome dose of old-world elegance.
