The Pike and Pine Street corridor is not only Seattle's nightlife hub, but also home to most of the city's queerest stores and restaurants. Many bars, restaurants and retail stores are gay-owned and/or gay-operated, and geared toward a queer audience. Don't miss Babeland, Linda's Tavern, R Place Nightclub, Elliot Bay Book Company, Purr, Kaladi Brothers Coffee, The Wild Rose, Pony, Madison Pub, and the Gay City Health Project and LGBT Library. Be aware that it is best to travel in groups or during the day as you shop, as Capitol Hill's changing populace can be dangerous for women and minority communities.
