On Taylor Square, the multi-level Kinselas was a funeral parlor from 1933 to 1982, run by an undertaker named Kinsela. After a spell as a restaurant, it morphed into the present-day bar, which has preserved the original art deco ceilings in "The Chapel." It has a dumpling shop on the ground floor and cocktails and dancing upstairs. Wednesdays feature trivia competitions with indoor bowling Thursday-Saturday. A favorite gay hangout, bears show up on Fridays.
