Sydney Festival, begun in 1977, is the biggest cultural festival in the country, offering over 450 performances and 150 events performed by over 1,000 artists at more than 46 venues. Programs are free or accessibly priced and include theater, dance, music, circus and cabaret. Its free Symphony Under the Stars by the Sydney Symphony Orchestra takes place at The Domain and The Crescent in Parramatta Park.
