The 11th edition of the Shanghai Biennale, the first international contemporary art biennial on the Chinese mainland, will emphasis the possibilities of South-South dialogue and be curated by the Indian artist/curator group Raqs Media Collective. The venue is Power Station of Art, home of the Biennale and a state-run contemporary art museum in the former Nanshi Power Plant, which was the Pavilion of Future in the 2010 Shanghai World Expo.
