Completed in 1906 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the reign of Sultan Abdul Hamid II, the Clock Tower marks the entrance to Jaffa. The building has been carefully restored, and the ornate facade is a fine example of Ottoman design. Because of its visibility, the tower also serves as a good meeting point for groups.

The clock tower was installed at the beginning of the 20th century to mark the 25th Anniversary of the ruling Ottoman Sultan Abdul Hamid II. He would later be overthrown by the Young Turks. It's a good central location to meet people in Jaffa.
