Founded in 1828 by Montpellier painter François-Xavier Fabre, the Musée Fabre houses a permanent collection of important works from the 15th to 20th century from Dutch and Flemish masters to decorative and graphic arts. The museum underwent a 61.2 million euro renovation from 2003 to 2007.
