This community garden and restaurant is a little slice of relaxed-vibe and leg-space in an otherwise overbuilt and congested area. An unused lot was renovated in 2009 to make way for the fertile ground that is now home to over five hundred different types of vegetables and herbs. It emerges from Kreuzberg like a mirage, where one can spend an overheated summer afternoon shaded in its foliage, having an affordable organic lunch with a beer or two while defending one's food from rather uninhibited sparrows.
