In business for decades, Alter Often (Old Oven) is one of the most dependable stand-bys in the area for low-frills, warmly-lit coziness and old-style gemütlichkeit. With wooden tables sprinkeld throughout, candles, a friendly and talkative owner, and only Pils on tap (unusual in Munich),  it's certainly a member of the "old guard" of anti-chic neighborhood establishments.
