Muziekgebouw aan't IJ is a contemporary classical music venue built on the edge of the city center near Centraal Station. It consists of one big concert space and a smaller space also used for conferences, talks and exhibitions. Art installations and sound art are on the programme, and it has become a hub for Amsterdam's cultural life since its inauguration in 2005. Visits are possible during the box office opening hours.
