The Fiesta del Carmen celebrates the patron saint of fishermen by parading a statue of the Madonna through churches, in processions and afterwards on boat parades in many seaside villages. The biggest celebrations are held in Valle Gran Rey, Playa Santiago, San Sebastian and Vallehermoso.
