Colombian fashion from different regions, classes and periods fills the Regional Costume Museum, established and documented by a Colombian anthropologist beginning in 1972. The vast collection is housed in the former home of Manuela Sáenz, a revolutionary hero who supported women's rights. It was in Bogota that Sáenz helped her lover Bolivar escape an assassination attempt in 1828.
