The 10-day NAO Acapulco International Festival celebrates Acapulco's history as the window to the east of the Spanish empire. Headquartered in the Historical Museum at Fort San Diego, which guarded the harbor from which the Spanish fleets sailed to Asia, NAO is the city's most important artistic and cultural festival, strengthening ties with Korea, China, Japan and the Philippines through a variety of cultural programs and conferences. 2015 marks the 200th anniversary end of the Manila Galleon Trade (la NOA de China).
