With 22 hectares (over 50 acres) El Parque Papagayo is the city's biggest green space and so labeled "Acapulco's green lung." It is well landscaped with three artificial lakes, children's playgrounds, a skating rink, sports courts and some caged exotic species. It has two main entrances: one on the Costera and the other on Avenida Cuauhtémoc where there's a sculpture of a huge piñata by Albert Chessai.
