The International Film Festival of Guadalajara showcases work by independent filmmakers from Mexico and nearly 50 other countries. Previously centered at Expo Guadalajara, it has screenings at numerous sites in the historic center with outdoor screenings at Jardín Hidalgo in Tlaquepaque. The films cover all genres, and an annual award is presented to an icon of sexual diversity.
