Azteca Stadium, only two years old when the 1968 Olympics were held in Mexico City, is one of the most famous in the soccer world, hosting two FIFA World Cup Finals and the epic 1970s semifinal between Italy and West Germany. One of the world's largest stadiums, it is now undergoing major renovation in celebration of its 50th anniversary and the centenary of Club América, the home team. It can be reached by the Xochimilco Light Rail, an extension of the Mexico City metro.
