The Franz Mayer Museum, located in a former monastery and hospital building in the old city, displays Latin America's largest collection of decorative arts, amassed by stockbroker Franz Mayer during his lifetime. Items include artwork, silver work, books, furniture, ceramics and textiles from Europe, Asia and Mexico. Admission free on Tuesdays.
