Recommended for : Budget & Bargain
1
Check in at The Global Guest House hostel and drop off your backpack. Grab a cup of free hot chocolate available 24/7 and stash your snacks away in the communal kitchen.
2
Walk over to the nearby Queens Park to explore Toronto's legislative buildings as well at the University of Toronto's historic campus.
3
Grab a quintessentially Torontonian hot dog for lunch from the nearest food truck. Walk for fifteen minutes to Church St. and Wellesley to explore Toronto's historic Gay Village
4
Relax with a cheap beer on the outdoor patio at Woody's, Toronto's most popular gay hangout.
5
Head down the street to visit Toronto's LGBTQ Community Center "The 519" to check out what gay events are happening in town.
6
Take the subway to Chinatown - one of the largest in North America - to browse the souvenir shops and dollar stores along Dundas Street West and Spadina Avenue. If you're more of a mall shopper, stop in Dragon City and Chinatown Centre.
7
Grab some cheap dumplings for dinner at the Toronto staple, Mother's Dumplings, then head back to the hostel for some well deserved rest.
